Effective 25 September 2026. These are the official rules for Cartland Rewards. They're part of our Terms of Service. Nothing in them affects your legal rights.
1. The short version
- Rewards is run by Cartland Technologies Ltd. Apple and Google are not sponsors of Rewards and aren't involved in it in any way.
- It's free. You never need to buy anything or have a paid plan to take part, and paying never gives you an advantage.
- Nothing in Rewards is decided by luck. The Referral Race ranks people by genuine referrals.
- The Referral Race has no prize unless a Live Event's own rules say so. Those rules are shown in the app before the event starts.
- Your Cartland balance holds cash prizes you've claimed. You can withdraw it to a UK bank account in your name. We check every withdrawal before we pay it.
2. Who runs Rewards
Cartland Rewards (the Rewards tab in the Cartland app, including the Referral Race, Live Events, Prizes and Your Balance) is run and paid for by Cartland Technologies Ltd, 12 Stonor Road, London, England, W14 8RZ, company number 17239433 ("we"). Email info@cartland.io with any question.
Apple Inc., Google LLC and their affiliates are not sponsors of Rewards, aren't involved in running it, and aren't responsible for it or for any prize. Any questions, comments or complaints about Rewards go to us, not to Apple or Google.
3. Who can take part
- You need a Cartland account, which means you must be 18 or over.
- Our employees, contractors and their immediate families can use Rewards but can't win prizes.
- A Live Event's rules may limit who can win a prize, for example to people living in the UK. Where they do, they'll say so before the event starts.
- You can't take part where the law doesn't allow it.
4. No purchase, no chance
- No purchase is necessary. Everyone with an account can take part on the same terms, on the free plan or a paid one. Buying a plan or Credits never gives you an advantage in Rewards.
- No luck is involved. Nothing in Rewards is decided by a random draw, spin or similar. Results depend only on what the rules say, such as the number of genuine referrals.
- If we ever run an event where winners are chosen at random, its rules will say so, and there'll be a free way to enter with exactly the same chance of winning.
5. The Referral Race
- How to take part: share your referral link or code from the Referral Race page. There's nothing else to sign up for.
- What counts: one referral each time another person's Cartland account is linked to your code, normally when they sign up with your link or enter your code. Each account can only be referred once, and never by its own code.
- Rankings: the leaderboard ranks people by referrals this month and all time. People with the same number of referrals share a place (1st, 2nd, 2nd, 4th…). It shows up to 100 people, by username (or "User" if you haven't set one), to other signed-in users.
- Monthly reset: the monthly count starts again at the beginning of each month (shortly after 00:00 UTC on the 1st). The all-time count doesn't reset.
- Prizes: the Referral Race itself has no prize. We may run a Live Event based on it that does, under the rules in section 6.
6. Live Events and prizes
From time to time we may run a Live Event with prizes. Before it starts, its own rules will be shown in the app. They'll cover:
- when it starts and closes;
- who can win, and any limits (for example one prize per person);
- how to take part (always free);
- exactly how winners are decided, and how ties are broken;
- how many prizes there are, what they are and what they're worth, and whether there's a cash alternative;
- how and when we'll tell winners, and how long they have to claim;
- when prizes are delivered, which will be within 30 days of the winner being confirmed unless the event says otherwise.
If an event's rules differ from these general rules, the event's rules apply to that event. We won't change an event's rules after it starts in a way that's unfair to people taking part, unless the law or a problem outside our control forces us to. If that happens, we'll explain why in the app.
We may publish winners' first names and the first letter of their surname, or their username, and tell anyone who asks the surname and county of a winner. You can ask us not to publish your details. We may still have to give them to a regulator, such as the Advertising Standards Authority, if it asks.
7. Claiming prizes
- Prizes you win appear under Prizes in the Rewards tab.
- Claim a prize before the expiry date shown on it. Once it expires, it can't be claimed.
- When you claim a cash prize, the amount is added to your Cartland balance (section 9).
- Prizes can't be transferred or sold, and can't be exchanged for anything else unless an event's rules say so.
- If we can't provide a prize for reasons outside our control, we'll offer something of equal or greater value.
8. Coupons
When a store applies a discount code during AI Checkout, we may save it under Prizes, in Coupons, so you can find it again. Coupons are the store's codes, not prizes from us. The store's terms and expiry dates apply, and we can't promise a store will accept a code.
9. Your Cartland balance
- Your balance shows cash prizes you've claimed, in pounds sterling. It only goes up when you claim a cash prize. You can't add money to it or transfer it to someone else, and it earns no interest.
- Withdrawing: open Your Balance in the Rewards tab and tap Withdraw. Withdrawals go to a UK bank account in your name, from £1 up to £1,000 at a time, one withdrawal at a time. We don't charge for them.
- Checks: we ask your bank to confirm the name matches the account (Confirmation of Payee). If the name is close but not exact, we'll show you the name your bank has so you can correct it; if it doesn't match, we can't send the payment; if your bank can't check, we check the request ourselves. We review every withdrawal to stop fraud, then pay it through our payment provider, Stripe. We aim to pay within 2 working days of your request, and always within 30 days.
- If we can't approve a withdrawal (for example, because the referrals behind a prize broke section 10), or the payment doesn't reach your bank, the money goes back on your balance and we'll tell you why.
- If withdrawing in the app isn't available to you, email us from your account's email address and we'll pay your balance to a UK bank account in your name (or another way we agree with you) within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm it's you first.
- Your balance is money we owe you. If we close Rewards or Cartland, or close your account for a reason other than breaking these rules, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance and explain how to receive any balance you have.
- Deleting your account removes your balance and any unclaimed prizes, and we can't bring them back, so withdraw your balance first. The app reminds you of this when you delete it. If a withdrawal is already waiting when you delete your account, we'll still complete it, or, if we can't, contact you at your email address about the money.
10. Fair play
To keep Rewards fair, you must not refer yourself, create fake or duplicate accounts, use bots or automation, buy or trade referrals, spam people with your code, or otherwise try to game the rules. If we reasonably believe someone has, we may remove the referrals, take them off the leaderboard, disqualify them from an event, or withhold or reclaim a prize that was won that way. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. If you think we've got it wrong, email us and a person will review it.
11. Your information
We use your information to run Rewards, show the leaderboard, contact winners, deliver prizes and pay balances, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and ending Rewards
We may change these rules or end Rewards for a good reason, such as a change in the law, fraud or abuse, or a technical problem. We'll give reasonable notice in the app where we can. We won't take away a prize that's already been won fairly, or a balance you already have.
13. Law, complaints and contact
These rules are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you keep the protections described in our Terms of Service. Complaints are handled as described there. Contact: Cartland Technologies Ltd, 12 Stonor Road, London, England, W14 8RZ, info@cartland.io.
