This page is for the Cartland app for iPhone and Android, made by Cartland Technologies Ltd.
Delete it in the app
- Open Cartland and tap the ⚙️ Settings cloud.
- Tap Account details.
- Under Danger zone, tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
Your account is deleted straight away and you'll see a confirmation.
Or ask us by email
If you can't use the app, email info@cartland.io with the subject "Delete my Cartland account". Please send it from the email address you use for Cartland. If you can't, we'll ask you to confirm the account is yours before we delete it.
We'll delete your account and confirm by email without undue delay, and within one month at the latest.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google will keep charging you until you cancel it with them.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Cartland → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cartland → Cancel subscription.
Any Credits left in your account are lost when it's deleted.
What we delete
- your account, email address, password and username;
- your profile photo;
- your Saved items, Cart, Wishlists, tags and recently deleted items;
- your Order History, parcel tracking and saved delivery address;
- your plan, Credits and records of your in-app purchases;
- your referral code, referral counts and place on the leaderboard, and any prizes or coupons;
- your Cartland balance. Withdraw it before you delete your account, or email us and we'll pay it to you (see our Rewards Rules). A withdrawal that's already waiting will still be completed, or, if it can't be, we'll contact you about the money.
What we keep, and for how long
- Sign-up security checks (your email address, the IP address you signed up from, and the result of our fraud checks). We keep these for 12 months after sign-up, so the same details can't be used to abuse Cartland again, and then delete them automatically.
- Records of withdrawals and payments we made to you (amount, date, the name on the account, sort code, last 4 digits of the account number and your email address). We keep these for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records, usually 6 years.
- Waitlist. If you also joined our waitlist, that's separate. Use the unsubscribe link in any waitlist email, or ask us to remove it.
- Checkout troubleshooting records. If we've switched on debugging to fix an AI Checkout problem, the details sent to a store (which can include your name, email, phone and address) are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically. They aren't linked to your account.
- Backups and logs. Deleted data may stay in our providers' backups, error reports and service logs for a limited time until they're replaced or expire.
- Records other companies hold. Apple or Google keep records of purchases you made through them. Stores keep details of orders you placed with them. If you ever paid Cartland through Stripe, Stripe keeps records of that payment. Their own privacy policies apply.
Uninstalling the app removes the data it stored on your phone.
Our Privacy Policy has more detail. If you have questions or a complaint, email info@cartland.io. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
